The Wingara Wine Group is one of Australia’s Top 20 (by volume) wine companies and is fully owned by the Ferrer Family. Wingara was founded in 1967 when land was purchased and vineyards planted in Coonawarra, South East South Australia, and Red Cliffs, near Mildura, North West Victoria.
These two areas are geographically and climatically contrasting yet complementary, allowing Wingara to produce a broad range of wines to service several market sectors.Its wines are exported to most wine consuming countries world wide.
Wingara also distributes wines in Australia on behalf of its parent company, Freixenet of Spain.
The Wingara Wine Group has an annual turnover of over A$20 million through the operation of its two wineries and 170 hectares of vineyards in Coonawarra and 217 hectares in Red Cliffs near Mildura.
